Local
Attractions in the North West
The river
and surrounding countryside are real attractions, with the village of
Scorton and the market town of Garstang nearby. This really
is an ideal holiday location, set in rolling, verdant countryside which
is ideal for walking or cycling.
Close at hand are the alternative
attractions of Blackpool, some 14 miles to the south west and Morecambe
10 miles to the north and Lancaster, also 10 miles to the north, with it's castle,
museum, priory and golf course.
As well as
easy access to the Lake District, you will find the Trough of Bowland,
to the east of Six Arches Caravan Park, offering it's own breathtaking
scenery and the opportunity for countless pleasant walks.
The glories
of the English Lakes are just 30 miles away and help make Six
Arches the perfect setting for a touring or static caravan holiday.
For those
who prefer to leave the car, a very reliable bus service operates
locally, stopping just 30 yards from the park entrance every 30
minutes. |
